Association des experts en sinistre indépendants du Québec (AESIQ)

The AESIQ is the voice of independent Claims Adjusters in Quebec and aims to maintain their leadership role.

Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF)

The AMF is mandated by the government of Quebec to regulate the province's financial markets and provide assistance to consumers of financial products and services. The AMF's mission is to protect the public by enforcing the laws governing the regulation of the financial sector.

Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC)

The IBC, which represents the majority of damage insurances in Canada, offers various consumer services aiming public information and supports consumers with private home or auto insurance coverage and filing insurance claims.

Chambre de l’assurance de dommages (ChAD)

The mission of the ChAD is to ensure the protection of the public in matters related to Damage Insurance and claims adjustment. It oversees the compulsory professional development and the ethical conduct of over 14,500 damage insurance Agents and Brokers, as well as Claims Adjusters. It provides preventive oversight and an ethical framework for individuals working in these fields.

Corporation des assureurs directs de dommages du Québec (CADD)

The CADD's mission is to promote and represent the interests of its members to a range of organizations of the damage insurance industry, government, and consumers.

Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA)

The GAA's mission is to develop and maintain the mechanisms that guarantee access to automobile insurance, streamline claims settlement, and ensure fair rating.

Institut d'assurance de dommages du Québec (IADQ)

The Insurance Institute offers two designations, Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP), as well as many courses to meet the requirements of compulsory ongoing professional development.

Puissance Onze

The Centre de développement en assurances et services financiers (CDASF) is a non-profit organization created in 2007 by 11 P&C insurance and insurance of persons companies who has their head office in Quebec City and the region of Chaudière-Appalaches. This is why they are called « Puissance Onze ».

Regroupement des cabinets de courtage d’assurance du Québec (RCCAQ)

The RCCAQ seeks to promote and defend the socioeconomic interests of its member firms, supports them in the performance of their duties, promotes the distinctive role of professional insurance brokers, and fosters coherence among the network's partners.

Educational institutions offering college training in property and casualty insurance

Nearly 30 educational institutions offer college training in property and casualty insurance in Quebec (Diploma of College Studies Insurance and Financial Services Advisory and/or Attestation of Collegial Studies in Damage Insurance).

The Coalition works continuously with these institutions and meets with them twice a year at its Establishments Committee meetings.

 

Education and employment partners

Academos

Academos connects young people aged 14 to 30 with the reality of the working world and helps them develop their professional life plans in order to make our society more educated, qualified and prosperous. The young people can contact e-mentors to answer their questions through a social network. academos.qc.ca

Association québécoise de l’information scolaire et professionnelle (AQISEP)

AQISEP is a non-profit professional association that brings together professionals in education and workforce networks who work in educational and career counselling and career development. aqisep.qc.ca

Apprenti collégien en action (Cégep de Sainte-Foy)

Apprenti collégien en action lets high school students find out about professions in the administration field, specifically in financial and insurance services, through concrete activities with students in the Insurance Counseling program and Financial Services from the Sainte-Foy Cégep. Website

Bureau d’intégration des nouveaux arrivants à Montréal (BINAM)

BINAM creates conditions that accelerate the integration process of newcomers to Montreal to maximize their participation in community life. This is a City of Montreal initiative. Website

Classes Affaires (Montréal relève)

Classes Affaires, a program for students in their final two years of high school run by Montréal Relève, aims to provide the students with a one-week immersion experience at a partner organization in a business sector of their choice. montrealreleve.ca/

Conseil du patronat du Québec (CPQ)

The CPQ has, among other things, set up the Comité éducation et adéquation formation-emploi [Education and Training-Employment Matching Committee] that aims to exchange solutions to the challenges in matching training adequately with employment, development, skill recognition, and the scarcity of workers including those who are immigrants.

Jeunes explorateurs d’un jour

Jeunes explorateurs d’un jour is a non-profit organization that gives high-schoolers and Cégep attendees an opportunity to spend a day interning in a field that interests them. A day focusing solely on the insurance field takes place in November. jeunes-explorateurs.org

Ordre des conseillers et conseillères en orientation du Québec (OCCOQ)

The OCCOQ ensures the quality of services offered to the public by guidance counsellors. It guarantees the skills of the members of the Order and supports them in developing and furthering their professional abilities. orientation.qc.ca

Interconnection Programm (The Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal)

The Interconnection program run by the Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal aims to provide special contact between Montreal organizations and qualified newcomers to promote their professional integration. This program meets the needs of businesses and immigrants alike with a comprehensive and flexible package that includes various free activities that facilitate connections. Website
